Benjamin Meza
Architect and Painter.
As an architect I listen, observe, resolve, conceive, document, and build. As a painter and artist I see, I feel, I interpret, and I apply paint to the canvas. At a personal level the wonderful process of creating a painting balances the required exactitude of creating architecture. Yet painting and architecture share the same eternal principles of light, space, form, shape, color, value, and texture. So it has been a wonderful realization that painting inspires architecture to seek even greater richness and life.
Every architect should paint.
Most of the paintings shown here represent my work as as student.
However,
more and more of the paintings are my original work.
